My organisation
About me
Marco’s career began at the age of 19, when he voluntarily joined the Italian military’s PSYOP unit as IT Operator, where he developed critical skills in strategic communication and operating under pressure in high-risk scenarios. He then moved into the private sector as IT/Network Security Expert and Penetration Tester. He then spent 13 years abroad, working across Spain and Germany at prestigious financial institutions such as laCaixa, the European Central Bank, and Deutsche Bank. In 2022, Marco returned to his hometown of Rome, Italy, after years of living abroad, to further grow QuoIntelligence in the country, which, as of 2024, has become its biggest market.
Since founding QuoIntelligence in 2019, Marco has spearheaded the company’s market entry, gaining global recognition for its cutting-edge research and intelligence solutions. His work is frequently featured at major cybersecurity conferences, where he shares insights on emerging threats and innovative security practices.
Marco was an active contributor to the open-source community. His research, including the groundbreaking Dorothy Project on tracking distributed botnet activity, earned him the IEEE eCrime Fighters Scholarship Award (2010) and CLUSIT’s Best National Theses on Information Security in Italy (2008). His work has been published in academic journals and presented at conferences worldwide. Marco holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Security from the University of Milan, a Master’s in Cyber Intelligence from Utica College, and certifications in CISSP, GCIA, and GCFA.
Despite traveling frequently, Marco currently lives in Rome with his family, which includes his wife and two children, aged 5 and 7.
