CyberMadrid (Madrid Cybersecurity Cluster)

About

The Madrid Cybersecurity Cluster, CyberMadrid, is a non-profit association founded in October 2021. It brings together companies, associations, and institutions—both public and private—operating in the Madrid region, which freely join forces to promote the development of the cybersecurity sector. The Cluster is promoted by the Madrid City Council through the Department of Economy, Trade and Consumer Affairs, as part of its efforts to boost competitiveness and support strategic sectors in the city.

CyberMadrid is defined by a collaborative, multi-entity framework whose goal is to raise the level of cybersecurity in society—particularly within the Community of Madrid—by driving the growth of the cybersecurity sector and generating synergies among all stakeholders aligned with our objectives:

  • Companies of all sizes and profiles (SMEs, startups, large national or multinational corporations).

  • Companies that either demand cybersecurity solutions or provide cybersecurity products and services.

  • Public institutions and bodies operating at local, regional, and national levels.

  • Private and public educational institutions (universities, schools, etc.).

  • Independent professionals.

We stand out thanks to our framework of transparency, independence, and governance, based on a balanced and proportional representation of stakeholders from the supply side (cybersecurity service providers), the demand side (clients), and the education sector.

Our combined workforce capacity allows us to deliver high-value proposals through joint action, enabling us to reach areas that would be unattainable individually.

Operating within a fully private and independent decision-making framework, our foundational DNA includes a strong commitment to public service. We provide cybersecurity services to public entities through specific collaboration agreements wherever our expertise is needed.

Among the association’s objectives are: raising awareness and providing training to companies and citizens in the Madrid area about the critical importance of cybersecurity; helping position Madrid as a leading cybersecurity hub in Spain and internationally; and strengthening collaboration between businesses, institutions, universities, and associations active in the cybersecurity sector.

Our activities focus on promoting education and training to improve professional qualifications, supporting the development of R&D&I projects in the sector, and organizing cybersecurity training courses, among others.

Our Advisory Board includes key institutions such as INCIBE, the Community of Madrid, and the Madrid City Council, which act as major drivers of cybersecurity development.
