The Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia is responsible for implementing public policies in the field of cybersecurity and developing the cybersecurity strategy of the Generalitat de Catalunya . It is the body that governs cybersecurity in Catalonia. The Agency is responsible for establishing the public cybersecurity service and works to guarantee and increase the level of security of networks and information systems in Catalonia, as well as the digital trust of citizens. As a competent body in the field of cybersecurity, it is responsible for establishing and monitoring action programs in the field of cybersecurity, under the strategic direction of the Government of the Generalitat of Catalonia, in coordination with the public sector entities of the Administration of the Generalitat of Catalonia, and collaborating with local governments of Catalonia, the private sector and civil society. The Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia is a public law entity of the Administration of the Generalitat of Catalonia that acts with full organic and functional autonomy, objectivity and technical and professional independence, and is attached to the Department of the Presidency.
