Poland’s Cybersecurity Ecosystem: SMEs, the Threat Landscape and Europe’s Digital Sovereignty
This speech, delivered on the occasion of the 10-Year Anniversary of the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO), highlights Poland’s role as an active contributor to Europe’s cybersecurity ecosystem and reflects on the importance of strengthened European cooperation. It recognises ECSO’s contribution in connecting industry, public authorities, research, investors and innovators, while underscoring the significance of leadership in advancing Europe’s cybersecurity agenda.
The speech addresses four main themes: Poland’s evolving cybersecurity threat landscape as a frontline EU and NATO country; the opportunities and challenges faced by Polish cybersecurity SMEs; the government’s efforts to strengthen national cyber resilience through regulatory, operational and funding measures; and the broader objective of European digital sovereignty, framed as Europe’s capacity to develop, trust and scale its own cybersecurity technologies through closer collaboration and support for innovation.
