About

The Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech is one of the top-ranked aerospace engineering programs in the world, known for its rigorous academics, cutting-edge research, and deep industry connections. Founded in 1930, it is one of the oldest and largest aerospace engineering programs in the United States.

Located in Atlanta, Georgia, the school offers undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees, with a curriculum that spans a broad spectrum of aerospace disciplines—including aerodynamics, propulsion, structural mechanics, flight dynamics and control, systems design, orbital mechanics, and space systems. Students have access to world-class research facilities, including wind tunnels, propulsion labs, and simulation environments, and they frequently engage in hands-on projects, capstone design challenges, and collaborations with NASA, the Department of Defense, and major aerospace companies.

The school is home to renowned faculty who are leaders in their fields and to research labs like the Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory (ASDL), which focuses on advanced systems design, optimization, sustainability, and future aerospace technologies. Georgia Tech AE graduates are highly sought after for careers in aviation, space exploration, defense, and beyond
