Central Denmark EU Office is the Brussels hub for the Central Denmark Region, 19 municipalities, Aarhus University, and VIA University College. We help our partners navigate EU policy, funding, and collaboration opportunities.
We work closely with ReUseAble in Aarhus, a new city-wide reusable packaging system that reduces waste while making sustainable consumption easy for citizens and businesses.
We also collaborate with Aarhus University in the fields of agro‑food, bioeconomy, and circular innovation, including projects with the municipality of Skive. Skive’s Green Energy Valley showcases a fully integrated circular economy: industries exchange waste heat, biomass, and plastics, transforming them into biogas, green hydrogen, bio‑methanol, and other circular products. The model connects local blue and green biomass streams, turning farm and industrial waste into valuable resources within an eco‑industrial park driven by carbon‑neutral ambitions. We are also a partner in the Accel Agro Biogas-project, an innovative project focused on developing sustainable solutions to increase biogas production in the Öresund region. In close collaboration with farmers and the biogas industry, we work to utilise agricultural resources in an efficient and sustainable way. We test new methods for using crop residues from cereals, rapeseed, legumes, sugar beets, and cover crops as biogas substrates, creating new business opportunities for both farmers and biogas companies.
In short: we bridge regional strengths, research, and innovative ecosystems to build cross‑European partnerships for a greener, more circular future.
