Institute for Circular economy

The Institute of Circular Economy (INCIEN) is a Slovak non-governmental organization dedicated to accelerating the transition to a circular economy. INCIEN works at the intersection of research, policy, and practical implementation, providing expertise to businesses, municipalities, and public authorities. Its activities include waste and material flow analysis, carbon footprint assessment, life-cycle and resource efficiency studies, and the development of circular strategies and policy recommendations.

INCIEN participates in national and European collaborative projects, funded through programs such as Interreg, Erasmus+, EEA & Norway Grants, and other EU initiatives, focusing on sustainable resource management, low-carbon solutions, and innovation in circular systems. The organization also facilitates knowledge exchange and stakeholder collaboration, connecting private companies, NGOs, and public institutions to support scalable circular solutions with measurable environmental impact.
