RongoDesign is a biotechnology startup based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, dedicated to creating a regenerative built environment. We focus on developing innovative, sustainable materials from agricultural and industrial waste. Our core technology revolves around using specially engineered mycelium strains to transform biomass residues—materials that would have otherwise been incinerated or discarded into landfills—into high-performance foam composites. These eco-friendly materials are designed to replace synthetic and non-eco-friendly counterparts in construction, interior design, and packaging, promoting both human and planetary health. Through this pioneering approach, we aim to significantly reduce environmental impact while promoting sustainability in various industries.
