Zavhy is a Dutch deeptech startup transforming the construction industry through advanced 3D concrete printing (3DCP) technology. Founded in 2020 by Zeeshan Yunus Ahmed as a spin-off from Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Zavhy addresses critical challenges such as sustainability, productivity, and labour shortages by digitalising and automating construction processes. Its proprietary innovations, the Reinforcement Entrainment Device (RED) and Fibre Reinforcement Entrainment Device (FRED), enhance the structural integrity of 3D-printed concrete while reducing cement usage and carbon emissions. Zavhy’s technology minimises material waste, accelerates project timelines, and reduces reliance on manual labour, all while improving safety by automating hazardous tasks. The flexibility of 3D printing also allows for complex, customised architectural designs that are often impractical with conventional methods. Through strategic partnerships and a strong focus on innovation, Zavhy is advancing the construction industry toward a more digital, sustainable future, supporting affordable housing and fostering high-tech skills in robotics, automation, and digital design.

About me

Founder of ZAVHY BV and PhD Researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology, advancing the frontier of 3D Concrete Printing (3DCP). At ZAVHY, we’re redefining how the world builds, using robotics and advanced materials to make construction smarter, faster, and more sustainable. Our mission is to bridge academic innovation and industry application, transforming research into scalable solutions that reduce waste, cut emissions, and accelerate digital construction worldwide. My work has contributed to several global milestones including the world’s first 3D-printed concrete bridges in Gemert and Nijmegen, and a 3DCP milestone house in the Netherlands. With three patents in reinforced 3D printing, I’m committed to building technologies that shape the future of sustainable infrastructure.
