Petra Boorsma

Biosintrum is a knowledge and conference centre in the North of the Netherlands that consists for more than 80% of bio-based materials. This makes it one of the most sustainable and innovative buildings in Europe. It is the meeting place for education, entrepreneurs and government, who together pioneer for a sustainable future. Biosintrum serves as a hub for various collaborations and projects to advance the economy. We have been building a biobased network since 2019 and our initiatives include various research and development actions, such as field labs for wet cultivation and creating eco-friendly alternatives to traditional building.
