About me

Mikael Johnson is an academic in the fields of business administration and public service. He earned his PhD in Business Administration from Karlstad University in 2008, following his Master's in Business Administration in 2004. His educational background has allowed him to contribute to research and teaching in areas such as business innovation and sustainability.

Since 2012, Mikael has been a Senior Lecturer in Business Administration at Karlstad Business School and has worked as a Senoir lecturer in Marketing at Inland Norway University of Applied Science since 2017. These roles reflect his commitment to both education and practical research.

Mikael has published several works on business innovation and sustainability, including articles in journals such as Creativity and Innovation Management and Public Management Review. His research focuses on integrating sustainability practices within both public and private sectors.

He has also secured external funding for various projects, in totla abput 80 Million SEK during the past 20 years. This funding supports his ongoing interest in advancing sustainability research. Johnson is dedicated to mentoring emerging researchers and has supervised several doctoral theses in business adminstration. Through his academic and professional endeavors, he aims to promote innovation and sustainable practices in business, helping to prepare future leaders to tackle the challenges of an evolving landscape.
