Founded in 1969,IDIT specializes in national and international transport, logistics, mobility, energy and sustainability laws. Its expertise covers all modes of transport: road, rail and river transport, maritime transport, air transport, civil liability and insurance, logistics, passenger transport, automated and connected vehicles, urban mobility .... His practice focuses not only on transport and logistics law and international law, but also on civil liability, insurance law, commercial law, customs law, new technologies, environmental law and new energies. Its work focuses on contracts and the liability of supply chain players. IDIT also provides expert insight into regulatory competitiveness, the legal feasibility of deploying "disruptive" solutions or uses, and the impact of new technological solutions and new business models / organizations including circular economy. Its missions consist of regulatory analysis, assessing the impact of innovative technological or organisational solutions, conducting comparative analyses and making recommendations. IDIT currently has around one hundred members in France, particularly in Normandy and Ile de France, but also in Europe (transport and logistics companies; manufacturers; professional federations; lawyers; magistrates; international organizations; insurance companies; brokers; experts...). The quality of its research work is recognized by numerous national, european and international partners, such as the French Ministry of Ecology, the Normandy Region, Haropa Port, the French Supreme Court, international organizations, the Universities of Rouen and Le Havre, IRT SYSTEM X in Saclay, etc.)..) IDIT supervises and/or participates in numerous national and European research projects (HORIZON EUROPE), and collaborates with academic laboratories. Every day, IDIT monitors developments in case law, rules and policies on transportation, logistics, environmental and energy laws. Whether at national, European or international level, the institute analyzes the projects and work of the various standard-setting institutions. This watch enables it to anticipate or monitor regulatory and case law developments, and to feed - for over 50 years - a legal database (case law and regulations) containing over 40,000 references.
Director of IDIT, holds a Master's degree in law (LLM), specialising in tax and customs law.
After gaining initial professional experience from 1998 to 2001 as a research engineer at the University of Rouen, where his work focused in particular on the dematerialisation of port transactions (industrial doctoral contract), he joined IDIT, where he is responsible for the development of the institute, particularly its research and study activities.
He is responsible for coordinating and carrying out numerous studies and research projects for public and private institutions (Horizon Europe; Interreg; French government; Normandy Region; French National Research Agency; etc.).
