offering materials analysis, barrier properties assesment. Biobased polymers, Biomass, Waste valorisation
About
PhD in material chemistry
Master’s degree in Material Science, physical-chemistry of Polymers
My main activities involve investigating the thermal, mechanical and transport properties (e.g. permeability, diffusivity, solubility and selectivity) of materials using various diffusing molecules (e.g. gases and water), as well as characterising morphology and structure. A modelling approach is used to analyse barrier properties.
For
- polymer-based (nano)composites, multifunctional materials, multi-layered structures;
- Biosourced and/or biodegradable polymers
- Cellulosic materials, biomass, fibres and by-products
The aim is to improve the description of materials' barrier properties and evaluate their functional properties in order to highlight the relationships between structure, morphology and properties.
