Circular economy in the manufacturing industry
About
The three-year project CIRIS (Interregional Circularity in Central Scandinavia) aims to enhance research and innovation capacity in Värmland and Innlandet by developing circular industrial value chains. Glava Energy Center is the project owner and leads the initiative together with Swedish partners Karlstad University, Arvika Näringslivscentrum, and the Norwegian project owner Vaager Innovasjon AS.
The project will strengthen research and innovation to optimize and implement circular value chains in industrial sectors such as manufacturing, steel, aluminum, plastics, composites, and energy. Through collaboration between industry, academia, and the public sector, new solutions will be created to enhance the regions' competitiveness and sustainability.
The initiative is built on close cross-border cooperation between Sweden and Norway and is funded by participating organisations, Region Värmland, and co-financed by the EU through Interreg Sweden-Norway.
