ARIES-TM

Active since 2004, the Romanian Association for Electronic and Software Industry, Timisoara branch (ARIES-TM) plays an important role in supporting the development, visibility, and internationalization of the regional and national technology sector. Its main objective is to represent the interests of member companies and facilitate connections between businesses, academia, research organizations, public institutions, and other stakeholders, creating opportunities for collaboration, innovation, business development, and international expansion.

ARIES-TM has extensive experience in organizing and supporting professional training, conferences, international trade fairs, economic missions, study visits, workshops, and networking activities. Through these initiatives, the organization helps Romanian technology companies strengthen their market position, access new business opportunities, develop partnerships, and expand internationally.

A major strength of ARIES is its long-standing experience in promoting Romanian technology companies on international markets. Since 2007, ARIES has facilitated and coordinated Romania’s participation with national pavilions at major international technology fairs and exhibitions, with support from the Romanian Export Promotion Programme. More than 180 Romanian companies have benefited from these initiatives, presenting innovative software products, digital solutions, and IT services to international markets.

These activities contribute to increasing the visibility and competitiveness of Romanian technology companies while supporting the internationalization of Romanian innovation and intellectual property. From innovative start-ups to established technology companies, participants have the opportunity to connect with international clients, partners, investors, and technology ecosystems.

At regional level, ARIES-TM has been involved in projects focused on internationalization, research and innovation, access to European funding, development of innovative software products, and the creation of collaborative innovation ecosystems. Its activities are continuously shaped by the needs of the local technology community through ongoing consultation, networking, and dialogue with relevant stakeholders. 

ARIES-TM also has a strong cross-border dimension. Its location in Timișoara provides a natural gateway towards the technology ecosystems of Serbia and Hungary. The organization maintains connections with IT and cluster organizations in neighboring regions, including Novi Sad and Szeged, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange, business cooperation, joint initiatives, and international partnerships.

Through its experience, network, and international connections, ARIES-TM acts as a facilitator between Romanian technology companies and international markets. The organization is committed to strengthening the competitiveness of the Romanian IT&C sector, promoting innovation, supporting internationalization, and building a connected and collaborative technology ecosystem in the Banat region and beyond.
