The Swedish Chips Competence Centre (SCCC, https://sccc.se/)) serves as Sweden’s hub for semiconductor expertise, facilitating seamless collaboration between industry, academia, and research entities. As part of the European Network of Chips Competence Centres, (ENCCC), SCCC provides equitable, open-access to state-of-the-art infrastructure and pilot production lines for prototyping, testing, and validation of advanced semiconductor technologies, including AI accelerators, quantum devices, neuromorphic systems, nanodevices and energy-efficient architectures.

Powered by the collaboration between Lund University, Chalmers Industriteknik and KTH, SCCC delivers specialized training programs, technical workshops, and comprehensive digital resources spanning semiconductor design, advanced manufacturing processes, heterogeneous integration, power electronics, RF/microwave technologies, as well as strategic business development and financing pathways. The centre further supports startups and SMEs with tailored advisory services to optimize access to European funding mechanisms—such as the Chips Fund and venture capital—and to enhance their integration into the broader European semiconductor ecosystem, reinforcing Sweden’s role as a key node in global semiconductor supply chains.
