About
Pervolarides of Thessaloniki is a grassroots non-profit organisation based in Thessaloniki, Greece, active since 2013. We work at the intersection of urban sustainability, food justice, social inclusion, community empowerment and participatory governance.
Our activities include food rescue and redistribution, community kitchens, urban gardening, composting, environmental education, neighbourhood regeneration and awareness-raising on housing and urban justice. Through these initiatives, we create opportunities for residents, volunteers and local organisations to co-design practical solutions that strengthen social cohesion, environmental responsibility and citizen participation.
We are particularly interested in circular urban economies, inclusive and resilient neighbourhoods, community-led housing, urban commons and the social dimensions of climate-neutral transitions. Our experience includes community mobilisation, stakeholder engagement, co-creation, workshop facilitation, participatory research and the implementation of small-scale local pilots.
Pervolarides of Thessaloniki seeks to collaborate with municipalities, universities, research institutions, civil society organisations and social economy actors to develop innovative, transferable and socially grounded solutions for sustainable urban development.
