About

FUTURE US FOR EUROPE (FU4E) is a Greek civil non-profit organisation based in Ioannina, Epirus. It operates as a Strategic Foresight, Research, Youth and Entrepreneurship Lab, connecting applied research with practical interventions in the fields of sustainable development, education, social innovation, culture, technology, entrepreneurship and civic participation.

The organisation’s mission is to help young people, local communities, institutions and civil society actors understand future social, economic, cultural and technological transitions, and develop the skills, tools and collaborative capacity needed to respond to them. FUTURE US FOR EUROPE places particular emphasis on strategic foresight, futures thinking, youth engagement, non-formal education, regional development, innovation and participatory approaches to public and community challenges.

Its statutory objectives include the research, study and application of strategic foresight methodologies, the development of actions that prepare younger generations for the future of work, society, technology and entrepreneurship, the promotion of youth entrepreneurship and social innovation, and the implementation of seminars, workshops, educational activities, research projects, cultural events, cooperation networks and civic participation initiatives.

FUTURE US FOR EUROPE also works across the fields of sustainable development, digital creation, new technologies, audiovisual media, research, education and creative economy. It produces and disseminates educational, digital, audiovisual and research material, and develops tools that support adaptation, creativity, cooperation and future-oriented thinking.

Although FUTURE US FOR EUROPE is a newly established legal entity, its founding team brings substantial individual experience in European project design and management, strategic foresight, smart specialisation, applied research, education, embedded systems, food chemistry, communication, graphic design, digital dissemination and stakeholder engagement. This interdisciplinary profile allows the organisation to contribute to European cooperation projects that require a strong combination of research, territorial understanding, social engagement, communication and practical implementation.

In the context of the DUT Call, FUTURE US FOR EUROPE can contribute to activities related to foresight analysis, urban and regional transition challenges, stakeholder and citizen engagement, youth participation, co-creation workshops, regional pilot mobilisation, dissemination, exploitation and policy uptake. Its base in Epirus provides a valuable regional perspective from a less metropolitan area of Greece, allowing the organisation to connect urban transition debates with the needs of local communities, emerging innovators, young people and territorial actors.
