Partner Search – AI-Powered Urban Digital Twin for Positive Energy Districts

The project aims to develop an AI-powered Urban Digital Twin framework to support the transition of existing urban districts towards Positive Energy Districts (PEDs).

The project will integrate urban energy data, artificial intelligence, digital twin technologies, energy forecasting, flexibility management and optimization to support more efficient and sustainable operation of urban energy systems. The platform will enable monitoring and analysis of energy-related processes at district level and provide decision support for municipalities, energy stakeholders and other urban actors.

The project is being prepared for the DUT Call 2026, with a focus on Positive Energy Districts.

Partners Sought

We are currently building the international consortium and are particularly interested in partners with expertise in:

• PED & Urban Energy Systems: Universities, RTOs, technology companies and other relevant organisations with expertise in Positive Energy Districts, integrated urban energy systems, energy modelling, energy management and flexibility.

• Municipality / Urban Authority: Cities or municipalities interested in providing a real urban pilot environment and supporting demonstration and validation activities.

• DSO / Utility / Energy Company: Organisations with expertise in electricity distribution, smart grids, grid constraints, congestion management, demand response and energy flexibility.

• Smart Building / IoT / Energy Management: SMEs or technology providers working on smart buildings, BMS/EMS, smart metering, IoT, HVAC control, energy monitoring and flexible loads.

• Distributed Energy & Storage: Companies or RTOs with expertise in PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV charging, V2G, distributed energy resources and energy management.

• Urban Transition & Replication: Organisations experienced in climate-neutral cities, citizen engagement, energy communities, urban transformation, replication, impact assessment and business models.

CEKA Software R&D Ltd. (Türkiye) plans to contribute expertise in AI/XAI, forecasting, optimization, Urban Digital Twin technologies and intelligent decision-support systems, and is building the consortium for the proposal.
