Social Systems for Future Mobility: Understanding How Society Shapes Mobility Adoption, Accessibility and Well-being

Sr Engineer / Technology Strategy Planning at TOYOTA MOTOR EUROPE

Zaventem, Belgium

About

Areas of interest:

A. Mobility Identity & Post-Ownership Society

TME is interested in understanding how younger generations perceive mobility, ownership, accessibility and freedom, and how these evolving expectations influence the adoption of shared, multimodal and on-demand mobility services. We seek projects exploring behavioural change, new mobility lifestyles, mobility needs across different population groups, and future mobility demand patterns.

B. Ageing & Assisted Mobility Ecosystems

TME is interested in how mobility systems, services and supporting infrastructure can help ageing populations maintain independence, social participation and quality of life. We seek projects addressing accessible mobility, inclusive transport solutions, mobility barriers, and community-centred approaches that support active ageing and social inclusion.

C. Mobility, Well-being & Social Inclusion

TME is interested in understanding how access to mobility influences well-being, quality of life and social inclusion. We seek projects investigating the relationship between accessibility, mobility capability ("motility"), travel behaviour and societal outcomes, as well as methods to assess the broader social value generated by future mobility systems.
