Industrial Innovative MaaS platform, multimodal routing engine and advanced DRT solutions
Head of R&D at CITYWAY

About
Cityway is an industrial mobility technology provider specializing in the design and operation of large-scale Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) platforms. Powered by a highly flexible multimodal routing engine, we bridge the gap between academic research and daily citizen usage by transforming complex urban transit and environmental data into reliable public services.
Key technological assets
-
Open & climate-adaptive routing: our engine is engineered as an open ecosystem capable of ingesting high-precision, specialized datasets. Developed in close cooperation with major partners, it enables true end-to-end routing that fully accounts for street-level realities. The engine can integrate urban heatmaps, wind patterns, or precipitation data to factor in walkability, thermal comfort, and physiological strain (pénibilité). For cycling and active mobility, we can dynamically adjusts routes based on live weather conditions, elevation profiles or pavement quality.
-
Flexible Demand-Responsive Transport (DRT): to solve the challenge of peripheral or low-density zones, we provide an integrated scheduling and booking software layer. It is designed to optimize flexible feeder networks (such as municipal e-minibuses or shared shuttles), helping partners maximize vehicle utilization and reduce empty runs without heavy operational overhead.
-
Data-driven governance : we embed high-precision data tracking directly into the routing infrastructure. This provides public authorities with the necessary tools to monitor ecosystem health, coordinate multi-operator networks, and scientifically evaluate modal shift and carbon reduction.
Collaborative value for DUT 2026 consortia
We join consortia not with a rigid project idea, but as an open, agile technology enabler ready to operationalize innovative models and spatial data science.
