About

European Institute for Development Support Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2024 by a team of experts from PHENO HORIZON Sp. z o.o. to support the implementation of innovative solutions in the field of spatial planning, environmental protection and adaptation to climate change, both at the local and international level. The Foundation benefits from the extensive experience of its members, gained as part of the implementation of numerous research, consulting and strategic projects carried out in Poland and abroad.

Thanks to PHENO HORIZON's extensive experience, the foundation operates within an interdisciplinary group of specialists, including urban planners, sociologists, architects, management experts, specialists in environmental protection, social participation, local development, and the circular economy. The foundation's members have developed municipal development strategies, revitalization strategies, environmental documents, and research and development projects. As a result, despite its short history, the foundation has a solid substantive and organizational base, enabling it to participate effectively in national and international projects.

The foundation's team consists of experts with many years of experience in the implementation of national and international projects, the management includes an architect-urban planner and a doctor of economics, specializing in spatial planning, revitalization, adaptation to climate change and local development. The team also includes a PhD in law, with extensive experience in the functioning of local governments, implementation of sustainable development solutions and environmental protection. Her knowledge in the field of administrative law and spatial management supports municipalities in decision-making processes and effective implementation of environmental policies.

In further development, the foundation will continue this path, putting emphasis on: transfer of knowledge from international projects to local practice, support for municipalities and other entities in the processes of adaptation to climate change and environmental protection, development of innovative tools for social participation and spatial planning, building partnerships between local governments, universities and social organizations.

The Foundation's role in the project will be to plan and carry out activities and to formulate conclusions arising from participatory meetings. The Foundation will draw on the experience of its experts and the knowledge gained in cooperation with local governments to ensure high-quality results. In addition, an important task of the Foundation will be to incorporate the results of the project into urban policies, taking into account the applicable legal conditions and the functioning of local administration.
