Ford Otosan, founded in 1959 as a joint venture between Ford Motor Company and Koç Holding, is one of Turkey's leading automotive manufacturers. The company operates through its Gölcük and Yeniköy plants in Kocaeli, the İnönü plant in Eskişehir, the Sancaktepe R&D Center in Istanbul, and the Craiova plant in Romania.
As of 2023, with a production capacity of 746,500 vehicles, 437,500 engines, and 140,000 powertrains, Ford Otosan is the largest commercial vehicle production hub for Ford Europe. Since 2004, the company has consistently ranked among Turkey’s top three exporters and has been the automotive export champion for the past 12 years, as well as the overall export leader of Turkey for the last eight years.
In 2023, Ford Otosan achieved $14 billion in export revenue, supplying over 90 countries. Additionally, with more than 2,000 R&D employees, it owns the largest R&D organization in Turkey’s automotive industry. The company has the full capability, expertise, and infrastructure to design, develop, and test a complete vehicle, including its powertrain.
