Irene Martínez

Irene Martínez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Transport & Planning at the TU Delft and co-director of the “research on Electric and Automated Transport” lab (hEAT lab). She obtained her Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. Her research interests and expertise domains are traffic flow theory and control in the era of automated, connected, and shared mobility with an interest in multi-modality and equitable transport. Irene has received a number of awards, including the ITSS best PhD dissertation award.
