About me
I am a researcher at the Institute for Regional Development at Eurac Research in Bolzano/Bozen, where I work on projects in mountain and urban tourism, destination development, and tourism resilience across regional and international contexts. I currently co-lead the Interreg Alpine Space project BeyondSnow and pursue a PhD in Economic Geography at Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich, focusing on climate change adaptation in tourism destinations. My work explores how destinations can respond to environmental and socio-economic challenges while remaining attractive and sustainable. I am particularly interested in shaping innovative approaches to sustainable tourism, with a focus on tackling overtourism and easing pressure on communities and ecosystems. By combining applied research with participatory methods, I seek to co-create strategies that not only balance visitor flows but also inspire transformation toward more resilient, inclusive, and year-round tourism models that genuinely benefit both tourists and inhabitants.
