Design of Smart platforms & digital tools

Nadhir MESSAI

Professor at Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne

About

My activities lie in the interfaces of applied mathematics, control engineering and computer science, with emphasis on:

- Safety and security of Cyber-Physical Systems: focusing on the detection and the estimation of faults and attacks that can affect complex systems and critical infrastructure (energy, water, roadways, etc.).

- Intelligent Transportation Systems: focusing on traffic modeling and monitoring attack detection and mitigation as well as connected and autonomous vehicles pilot deployment.

During my career, I have participated and led several collaborative national and international research projects and I am currently participating in three European projects. This motivates me to continue developing my activities, with more attention to resilient operation of large-scale CPS. The areas that interest me stem from my goal of continue designing and implementing algorithms that enhance the efficiency, the sustainability, the safety and the security of large-scale Cyber Physical Systems, like Smart sities and Cooperative Intelligent Transportation Systems.
