About
Nanostine is a deep-tech company specialized in advanced surface engineering through the controlled deposition of ultrapure nanoparticles. Our proprietary technology operates under ultra-high vacuum (UHV) conditions, enabling the fabrication of nanostructured coatings with precise control over morphology, composition, and surface properties in a single-step, solvent-free process.
Unlike conventional coating techniques, Nanostine’s approach allows tailoring functionalities at the nanoscale, unlocking enhanced performance across a wide range of applications. These include improved electrical and RF behavior (e.g., multipactor mitigation in space components), increased sensitivity in gas and biosensors, advanced optical properties (anti-reflective, light trapping, or self-cleaning surfaces), and enhanced catalytic and electrochemical performance for energy devices such as fuel cells and electrolyzers.
The technology is fully compatible with industrial PVD environments and can be applied to a broad variety of substrates, including metals, glass, silicon, and polymers, without the need for high temperatures or chemical reagents. This makes it a scalable, sustainable, and versatile solution for next-generation materials and devices.
Nanostine is currently working with leading industrial and institutional partners, including the European Space Agency, to validate its technology in demanding environments and accelerate its industrial adoption.
