Established in 1989 in Turin with the support of the Piedmont Region and the Polytechnic University of Turin, CSP has historically been active in software development, applied computer science, and ICT innovation. As a Research Organization accredited by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MIUR), CSP carries out industrial research and experimental development activities in full compliance with European Union regulations. Acting as an Intelligent Hub and Technology Enabler, CSP focuses on service integration, technology transfer, and high-value strategic partnerships. The organization serves as a dynamic bridge connecting academic research with market needs and local territory demands through industrial research and experimental development projects.

CSP's core technological competencies cover advanced software engineering, cloud architectures, and big data management, including the processing of Earth Observation and satellite data through proprietary algorithms. The organization also develops applied solutions in cybersecurity, post-quantum cryptography, Quantum Key Distribution, IoT monitoring platforms, and Digital Twins for critical infrastructures and smart environments. Furthermore, CSP actively participates as a technical partner and consortia member in major European funding initiatives, including Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, and Interreg programs.
