My organisation

The Brandenburg Medical School Theodor Fontane (MHB) is a university that focuses on educating health care providers to tackle the challenges of tomorrow’s health care systems using innovative teaching concepts and stressing the unity of research, teaching and patient care. Its research is particularly focused on patient-centered healthcare for ageing societies. The Institute of Social Medicine and Epidemiology is led by Prof. Dr. Holmberg, a trained anthropologist and epidemiologist, and a leader in the development of innovative evaluation designs and mixed-methods studies to ensure effective interventions that support people. She is supported by a staff that are not only trained scientists with an expertise in digitalization but also have experience as health care providers. The institute is a leader in the development of human-centered interventions to shape transformation with a particular focus on digitaliziation. It is renown for its innovative research designs and evaluation concepts that focus on successful implantation processes. The institute has a track record of success in leading mixed-method and multi-center studies funded by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in the USA and the German Federal Ministry of Research and Education (BMBF), among others.

About me

I am a Research Associate at the Institute of Social Medicine and Epidemiology at the Brandenburg Medical School Theodor Fontane (MHB), with a background in pharmacy and epidemiology.

After several years of experience in public pharmacies, I transitioned into research to support the digital transformation of primary care. As part of the DiLoB project (“A people-centered approach for the digital transformation: Agents of change to support patients and health care providers”), I work as an agent of change supporting patient- and provider-centered digitalization in Brandenburg's primary care.
