Acción contra el Hambre - Action against Hunger

Fundación Acción contra el Hambre (Action against Hunger Foundation - ACH) is an independent international humanitarian organization that fights malnutrition while ensuring water and secure livelihoods for vulnerable populations. Acción contra el Hambre - Spain is member of an international network working in 49 countries. 

ACH has a work area based on Social Action and socio-labour inclusion in Spain. Its objective is to promote the access to the labour market of those people at risk of social and labour exclusion through employment and entrepreneurship programs.

We provide disadvantaged groups with the necessary competences to enter the labour market. We promote also their digital inclusion, so we provide with digital skills to disadvantaged people.

Our programs are implemented in 29 different Spanish provinces through 12 local offices that help us reach both urban and rural areas. Since we started our intervention in 2014 more than 47.000 people at risk of social exclusion (8.726 in 2024) have participated in our employability programs.

 At European level, Action Against Hunger is leading the European Network of Innovation for Inclusion, that since 2016 is promoting social innovation among key stakeholders to contribute to a more inclusive European labour market. The Network brings together more than 540 organisations from 35 countries with the aim of building strong alliances between actors and promoting innovative solutions to complex social challenges, combining a European-wide approach with local implementation adapted to each context. It supports the transfer and scaling of successful social innovations across organisations and countries, providing members with capacity-building tools and practical methodologies to strengthen their social innovation capacity and sustainability of their projects.
