SOC staff continuously track the latest threats and vulnerabilities using threat intelligence sources such as security alerts, vendor notifications, and reports. This information helps them understand emerging threats, anticipate potential risks, and proactively implement security measures.

Upon detecting a vulnerability or infection, SOC analysts conduct detailed security incident investigations. They determine the nature of the attack, the scope of the breach, and the attacker's techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTPs).

This procedure enables the continuous improvement of incident response processes, while the identification of vulnerabilities leads to the implementation of appropriate preventive measures.

The SOC continuously monitors the security posture of the organization's systems and infrastructure, even during periods without incidents.

It analyzes system logs, network traffic patterns, and user behavior to identify potential security gaps or anomalies. Based on these findings, it recommends ways to enhance security and suggests directions for updating security policies.

The SOC regularly reports on incident metrics and security trends. These reports facilitate decision-making, the prioritization of security investments, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
