Academic writing in LaTex/Overleaf and Zotero

LaTex is a widely used standard for writing articles in academia and beyond. However it is not always easy to learn and use it. It may be a burden for people who would like to focus on research itself rather than research for writing about research. Some journals and conferences may encourage you to use a Latex template.

Even if your domain does not often use LaTex, it is a good option to keep track on your progress (version control), organize graphics, and to automate tedious tasks such as citing/referencing, linking, creating a table of contents etc in the document.
