About me
I am a senior "hands-on" professional with a strong background in manufacturing and product development, lean methodologies and organisational procedures, more recently committed to supporting companies to launch products and services, (re)define strategies, perform change management, and excel at what they do - sometimes all of the above! I have a global professional experience, both at exporting goods and knowledge from my homeland Portugal, and also supporting foreign companies abroad to reach local markets or wider overseas markets.
I have a soft spot for product design and processes optimization and I'm keen on mentoring product development, sharing 20+ years knowledge about manufacturing techniques, product industrialisation and market launch. On the soft skills side I have 12+ years of teams mng and sales & purchasing proficiency. My latest personal investments are related to IoT/ML/AI and the change we are about to experience in the next 10 years or so.
My background is engineering, the first 15 years of professional life were focused on industrial product design, improving manufacturing processes and delivering bespoke equipment to OEMs shop floors across the world in Automotive, Energy, SMT and Luxury. Around 2016 shifted into consultancy roles and had the opportunity to support several high end companies in challenging, very successful projects. Since ’22 I am mostly dedicated to Digital Healthcare in all areas of intervention: RPM, Process Automation and Patient Safety, both in the design of solutions, integration architecture and interoperability of systems, always with patient outcome improvement on my mind.
In ’15 I joined the Executive Masters with specialisation in Innovation Management course at ISCTE/INDEG in Lisbon, which became a staple tool in my own professional path, hence the professional shift in 2016. In ’24 a postgrad in Digital Health also at ISCTE was incredibly useful to provide articulation on the scattered knowledge I had collected in the previous 2 years of work (in this course I received the prize for best participant BTW).
