Hemptex®
About
Hemptex® makes sustainable flags from natural hemp cloth, as an alternative to the synthetic flags that are the norm today. The hemp is grown in the mountain villages of Uttarakhand, India, and the cloth is cut, stitched, hemmed, digitally printed and inspected in Europe. Hemp was chosen because it is strong, regenerative, biodegradable and remarkably efficient: it grows without pesticides or synthetic fertilisers, needs far less water than cotton, and is ready to harvest within three to four months. For Hemptex it isn't just about a different fabric, but about changing the system behind it — from regenerative farming to taking plastic out of the supply chain.
