Paula Trujillo

As Strategy Director of Conexiones Creativas (CC), a finalist for the prestigious UNESCO World Creative Economy Award in 2023, I'm deeply committed to strengthening creative ecosystems across Latin America and Southern Europe. At CC, cultural and creative districts are our core focus, and I've spearheaded their management, research, and incubation since 2018. Our leadership of the Platform for Creative Districts, with its 44 members coming mostly from LATAM and its ten international encounters since 2020, further demonstrates this commitment.

As a geopolitician with extensive experience in both public and private sectors, I have a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives for cultural and economic development. Notably, I spearheaded the design and launch of the cultural hub that became the first cultural and creative district in Medellín, Colombia, in 2018-19. I bring a wealth of expertise from my leadership roles as Director of the Internationalization Office for the Mayor's Office of Medellín, Director of Inexmoda (Colombia's National Fashion Institute), and from my work at the Colombian Embassy in Madrid.

I have recently been appointed to the Advisory Board of the newly formed cluster of Cultural and Creative Industries of Medellín, an ambitious project led by the City Hall and the Chamber of Commerce of Medellín. This Advisory Board is composed of 4 people representing the entire cultural and creative ecosystem of the Region, so it is a source of pride to be one of those four people.
