Structural Panda

Structural PANDA is a software which allows an Engineer or Architect (or anyone in the construction industry) to quickly visualise hundreds of building options plotted on a simple Carbon vs Cost graph. Allowing the user to have the information to target the embodied carbon of the building.

By inputting some basic building geometry and project parameters, PANDA generates detailed design for multiple building options with the results iterating through various:

• Building materials (Glulam / RC / Steel with composite floor / etc)

• Column layouts (varying column spacing can vastly impact the embodied carbon!)

• Foundation options (early stage design to help identify lower carbon options)

All results are plotted on a graph with Cost vs Carbon to help you quickly identify the best design for your project! Each building option can be reviewed individually and exported as a TEKLA file, and soon as an IFC file so you can have a basic building model in a matter of minutes!

Using PANDA results in a building design which has considered all the options. Knowing your options early on gives the project the best chance to save carbon!
