Moving advanced materials design and development into the digital area

Location:Bourse Auditoire Rops Track:Breakout session

The digitalisation of research and development has the potential to accelerate the discovery of innovative materials, and Europe could benefit from better exploitation of digital tools in this area.

One of the objectives of recently published communication of the EU Commission on Advanced materials is to create a long term sustainable European digital infrastructure for advanced materials R&I, the materials commons. This digital infrastructure will help researchers and innovators to significantly accelerate the design, development and testing of new advanced materials in a controlled environment, supported by AI tools.

During this workshop, we want to brainstorm on the actions needed to translate this goal into reality and make the most out of the opportunity’s digitalisation offers for accelerating advanced materials research and innovation.
