About me
Marco’s interests are in electrochemical technologies and Power-to-X, including hydrogen, CO2 derivatives and ammonia, with a focus on advanced materials and upscaling. He obtained his PhD in 2020 from the University of Aberdeen with a thesis on CO2 electrolysis in ionic liquids. Before joining Tecnalia in 2023, Marco worked in a start-up company in France developing an innovative electrochemical technology for harvesting osmotic energy.

Tecnalia is the leading applied research centre in Spain and has over 20 years of experience in R&I in hydrogen technologies. The centre is dedicated to fostering technological development and innovation. Our multidisciplinary team works with companies to create solutions that drive progress and competitiveness across various industries.
