Degree in Geographic Engineering (University of Lisbon), completing a Master degree in GIS (Superior Technical Institute in Lisbon) and PhD in Rural Engineering (University of Évora). Since 1999, Assistant Professor at University of Évora and a full member of Mediterranean Institute for Agriculture, Environment and Development (MED). She has been working in applications of Geographic Information Technologies mainly on remote sensing data (satellites and multispectral drone cameras) in natural resources management, focusing on forest aboveground biomass estimation and precision agriculture. Coordinated/participated in multidisciplinary national and international research projects. Author/co-author of several papers indexed in ISI/SCOPUS and national and international other publications such as book chapters and conference proceedings. She coordinates and teaches in several disciplines from graduate and master courses, mainly in Remote Sensing, GIS and Geomatics at the University of Évora.
