Jose Henrique Brito

José Henrique Brito holds a PhD in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Minho, a Master's Degree in Computer Graphics and Virtual Environments also from the University of Minho, and a Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, in the field of Electronic Systems and Computers from Instituto Superior Técnico.

He is currently Associate Professor and Director of the Master's Degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering at Escola Superior de Tecnologia (EST) of the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA).

He is an integrated researcher at 2Ai - Applied Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at IPCA. His main research interests are in the field of computer vision, namely 3D reconstruction and camera calibration, machine learning, image classification, object detection, semantic segmentation, satellite image analysis, football video/audio analysis and human movement analysis. He also has interests in the area of Digital Systems, Microcontrollers, DSPs, GPUs, FPGAs, as means for efficient implementations of artificial intelligence systems.
