CERTH

The Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH), founded in 2000, is the only research centre in Northern Greece and one of the largest in the country. The Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) was founded in 1998 as a non-profit organisation under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Research and Technology of Greece (GSRT), with its head office located in Thessaloniki, Greece. The participating team of CERTH-ITI in AINATURE is the Multimodal Data Fusion and Analytics Group (M4D) of the Multimedia Knowledge and Social Media Analytics Lab (MKLab). The team has significant experience and scientific expertise on Social Media Μonitoring and Social Network Analysis, Web Multimedia Mining, Image and Video Analysis, Multimedia Understanding, Interactive Multimedia Search and Knowledge Retrieval, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence (including Machine Learning and Deep Learning), Forensics, Semantic Technologies and Integration of heterogeneous resources, Knowledge Representation, Reasoning and Management, Computer Vision, Visual analytics, Big Data Analytics as well as Crisis and Security Management. Through the years, the team has participated in more than 70 European and national projects. Has acted as coordinator, in 9 European and 4 national projects and as a technical and scientific manager in more than 5 European projects. The team has participated in 27 European and national security projects, related to fighting crime and terrorism, border management, resilient infrastructure and cybersecurity. The team has participated in 5 European and national projects related to Smart Manufacturing and water applications. The team has participated in 10 European and national projects related to Culture and Art&Media applications.
