River Cleaning Deflector for hydroelectric powerplants (N.B: outdated picture)
ESG Manager | Business Development Officer at Rivercleaning Srls
Cassola, Italy
About
Water intakes of hydroelectric powerplants are often protected by screens, which keep organic debris like trees, branches and algae from damaging turbines.
These screens require frequent cleaning, usually with expensive machinery, leading to production stops and maintenance costs.
In addition to that, powerplant managers face costs for the disposal of organic material stopped by screens.
River Cleaning Deflector is a protective floating gear which covers all the intake width, prevents organic material from clogging and deflects it towards the riverbed, without hindering the water flow.
Through the application of River Cleaning Deflectors we ensure:
- cost reduction for hydroelectric powerplant managers
- preservation of precious resources for the riverine ecosystems.
Hydroelectric powerplants can be perceived as environmental burdening infrastructures. We aim to make them sustainable.
