Almek Wood Architecture is a Romanian family-owned workshop based in Vâlcea, specializing in the design, production and assembly of sustainable wooden constructions.
We create custom wooden houses, timber-frame structures, A-frame houses, cabins, tiny houses, terraces, gazebos and bespoke outdoor and indoor furniture. Our work combines traditional woodworking craftsmanship with contemporary design and practical construction solutions, with a strong focus on quality, durability and responsible use of materials.
Our constructions are manufactured locally in our own workshop, allowing us to pay close attention to every stage of the process – from selecting and preparing the timber to prefabrication, finishing and assembly on site. We work primarily with spruce and pine and use carefully selected construction and finishing systems adapted to each project.
At Almek Wood Architecture, we believe that building with wood is more than a construction choice. It is an opportunity to create comfortable, healthy and long-lasting spaces while supporting local production, skilled craftsmanship and more responsible use of natural resources.
We work with private clients, architects, developers and organisations, developing projects adapted to different needs, locations and architectural visions. Our aim is to grow a recognised Romanian workshop for sustainable wooden architecture while preserving the value of craftsmanship and continuously improving our production capabilities.
