Dalian Chemical Design Institute Company Limited is an experienced Chinese engineering and technology contractor with engineering roots dating back to 1958. Based in Dalian, one of China’s leading petrochemical and manufacturing centers, we provide integrated services for chemical projects from early planning to plant operation.

Our services include technology selection, feasibility studies, process design packages, basic and detailed engineering, equipment and material procurement, construction coordination, project management, commissioning, start-up, capacity expansion, energy optimization and plant revamps. We work across petrochemicals, inorganic chemicals, fine chemicals, fertilizers, industrial gases, pharmaceuticals, storage, environmental protection, hydrogen, new energy and advanced materials.

Dalian Chemical Design Institute Company Limited works closely with Dalian Dahua Engineering Design Company Limited, a long-established engineering institute with strong expertise in soda ash and inorganic chemicals. The two institutes combine multidisciplinary engineering teams, process knowledge, project experience and international delivery resources. Together, we have experience in more than 500 major engineering projects, including over 100 soda ash projects involving new plants, expansions and technical revamps.

For more than sixty years, we have grown together with Dalian’s chemical industry. More than seventy percent of chemical projects in the Dalian region carry our engineering footprint. This extensive experience gives us a practical understanding of industrial-scale design, construction, commissioning, production optimization and long-term plant operation.

Our overseas experience extends for more than twenty-five years and covers India, Kazakhstan, Iran, Russia, Pakistan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Syria and Africa. Representative assignments include a 400,000-tonne-per-year carbon-dioxide recovery project in India, a 500,000-tonne-per-year soda ash project in Kazakhstan, a 300,000-tonne-per-year soda ash project in Iran, a 73,000-tonne-per-year epoxy-resin project in Russia, a 5,000-barrel-per-day modular refinery in Pakistan, an aluminium-fluoride plant in India and a lithium-carbonate project in Africa.

We are also deeply involved in building the Silk Road International Chemical Engineering Services Platform. Through the platform, we can connect around 2,000 Chinese suppliers and organize a capability pool of 175 process technologies across nine major fields. These resources cover inorganic chemicals, fine chemicals, energy chemicals, new materials, energy storage, hydrogen, new energy, environmental protection and low-carbon technologies.

We can organize Chinese technology, equipment manufacturing, supply-chain resources, construction support and commissioning teams around the needs of a specific project.
