About

Expo Village Italy (EVI), a format conceived by Eskaton International and promoted by the Area Mediterranea Association, is a turnkey strategic platform designed to facilitate the international market entry of Italy's finest SMEs.

Following the success of its first edition in Curitiba (Brazil), which was included in the Assocamerestero 2026 Activities Catalogue, we aim to expand this successful model in collaboration with your Chamber of Commerce. The entire strategy is built upon two fundamental pillars that redefine the relationship between Italian supply and international demand.

  1. The First Pillar: High-Quality Micro and Small Enterprises through Centrally Coordinated Business Networks

EVI is specifically designed for outstanding Italian micro and small enterprises that, due to their size and market-entry barriers, would not normally have the resources or opportunities to operate internationally.

To overcome these limitations, EVI aggregates companies into formal or informal business networks managed through centralized commercial and operational coordination. This enables participating companies to approach international markets with the strength, organization, and credibility of a medium-sized enterprise.

  1. The Second Pillar: The Strategic Role of the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad

The project's stability, effectiveness, and credibility are built upon the institutional presence of the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad (CCIEs), which serve as trusted, long-term partners deeply rooted in their local markets.

Your in-depth knowledge of the local business environment is the essential asset that validates our business model and ensures successful commercial integration.

This represents a genuine shift in perspective: rather than Italian companies struggling to find new markets, foreign markets—identified, monitored, and supported by your Chamber—actively seek high-quality Made in Italy products and solutions.

Addressing a Structural Challenge: Moving Beyond Events to Commercialisation

Today, many Italian companies participate in international trade fairs and B2B events, often supported by substantial public funding through programmes such as SACE, SIMEST, ICE, and regional grants.

However, once these events conclude, most micro and small enterprises lack the organisational capacity to manage leads, follow up on business contacts, and develop negotiations. As a result, commercial opportunities are frequently lost and significant public investments fail to generate lasting business outcomes.

Expo Village Italy addresses this structural weakness through an innovative, practical, and scalable organisational model.

Our philosophy is straightforward: EVI's core business is not organising events—it is commercialising Made in Italy worldwide.

The event itself is not the final objective, but rather the closing stage of a continuous and structured commercial process.

An Inverted Business Development Model The synergy between the two pillars is implemented through a structured, results-oriented process.

Targeted Market Scouting The process begins with the actual needs of your local market.

Your Chamber identifies market demands and priority sectors. Based on this information, EVI's central coordination team conducts targeted scouting activities throughout Italy to identify, select, and organise networks of outstanding micro and small enterprises capable of meeting those specific market requirements.

Preliminary Remote Negotiations EVI and the Italian Chamber of Commerce Abroad jointly coordinate the initial discussions between Italian companies and local business partners through online meetings, sector-specific webinars, and technical information sessions, ensuring commercial compatibility before the physical event takes place.

International Networking Event – The Closing Stage

Once negotiations have reached an advanced stage, a Networking Event will be organised in your country.

All local logistical, organisational, and institutional services will be managed directly by your Chamber, creating an additional revenue opportunity for your organisation.

The event will bring together previously identified institutions and business operators and will serve as the official venue for finalising and signing commercial agreements already developed during the preliminary negotiation phase.

A press conference will also be organised to present the business results achieved through the collaboration with your Chamber.

The EVI Exhibition Space: Following the networking event, an Expo Village Italy Exhibition Space will be established during the year as a permanent, multi-sector showroom where Italian brands can strengthen their market presence, engage with consumers and professional buyers, and launch new commercial initiatives.

EVI Network: Italian Hubs: Catania , Rome International Hubs: Curitiba (Brazil), São Paulo (Brazil), Dakar (Senegal)
