Gelej Sajt LLC is a family-run dairy business based in northeastern Hungary. As a fully integrated subsidiary of Dél-borsodi Agrár LLC, the company combines animal husbandry, crop production, and on-site milk processing into a vertically integrated operation that ensures full control over quality from farm to final product.

Our dairy processes approximately 10,000 litres of milk per day, sourced exclusively from our own herd of 900 Holstein-Friesian cattle, of which around 450 are lactating cows. We do not buy or sell raw milk — all production is dedicated to our own dairy line, ensuring traceability and consistent quality.

To support the herd and ensure a reliable milk supply, we cultivate 850 hectares of feed crops, producing bulk and silage feed directly on the farm. Our breeding program focuses on achieving a standard lactation yield of 10,000 kg per cow, alongside improving herd health and longevity.

Animal welfare is a core value: our barns are clean, spacious, and designed for comfort and natural behaviour. We believe that the harmony between humans and animals is key to long-term sustainability and premium dairy production.

We produce a wide range of dairy products, including cottage cheese (túró), sour cream (tejföl), milk, and a variety of cheeses such as kashkaval, Trappist, and gomolya. These high-quality, flavourful products are crafted with care and offered at an excellent price-to-value ratio, making them attractive both for domestic and export markets.

Our goal is to process a stable 4 million kilograms of milk annually, producing delicious, trustworthy Hungarian dairy products that reflect the strength of local tradition and modern agricultural practices.
