Battery Materials R&D and Industrial Scale-Up Partner

Shift Materials is a Norwegian startup specializing in the development and scale-up of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) cathode active materials for sustainable battery applications. We offer strong expertise in wet-chemical synthesis, process optimization, and material characterization, with a focus on transitioning lab-scale innovations to industrial-scale production.

We are also working to integrate recycled materials into our processes, supporting a more circular battery value chain. Shift Materials is currently involved in two Horizon Europe projects: BeyondBattRec and CIRCUBAT, which focuses on improving the recycling and reuse of lithium-ion batteries. Through these projects, we contribute to European efforts to strengthen innovation, sustainability, and supply chain resilience in the battery sector.
