PlasticsEurope Polska Foundation represents plastics producers in Poland. It is the local branch of Plastics Europe – the pan-European association of plastics manufacturers with offices across Europe. For over 100 years, science and innovation have been the DNA that cuts across our industry. With members producing over 90% of all polymers across EU27+3 (Norway, Switzerland, UK) we are the catalyst for the industry with a responsibility to openly engage with stakeholders and deliver solutions which are safe, circular and sustainable. We are committed to implementing long-lasting positive change.
Our work is based on facts. That is why we prepare and publish numerous reports, analyses and statistics that present current data on the European plastics industry, including production, trade balance and main trading partners, as well as the development of the circular economy of plastics in Europe.
Our industry’s ambitions are reflected in “The Plastics Transition” roadmap, which assumes that, by using the indicated measures, it would be possible to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the overall plastics system in Europe by 28% by 2030 and towards net-zero by 2050. In parallel, it predicts that circular plastics could meet 25% of European demand in 2030 and 65% by 2050.
