About me

I am an economist, professor and researcher with a PhD in Management, working on entrepreneurship, innovation, economic transitions and public policy. My research and project work focuses on how organisations, cities and ecosystems adapt to structural change, including the green and digital transitions, circular economy, new business models and resilience.

I am also Chairman of APREDIN, a Portuguese non-profit association active in entrepreneurship, SME support, open innovation, European cooperation and the green and digital transition. I have experience in EU-funded projects, particularly in consortium development, stakeholder engagement, impact, exploitation and business-model design.

For the DUT Call 2026, I am particularly interested in Circular Urban Economies, especially CUE Topic 3 on urban production for circular and resilient cities. I can contribute to urban economics, transition-readiness analysis, governance and policy assessment, circular business models, SME and stakeholder engagement, impact evaluation, replication and investment prioritisation.

I am looking to connect with universities, research organisations, municipalities and innovation actors that are already building or considering a consortium for CUE Topic 3.
