About me
Mr Anders Olsson, now self-employed and until recently Manager of Research, Innovation and Smart Specialisation at Region Värmland in Sweden. Anders has more than 25 years of experience in regional sustainable development. He has worked with learning, development processes and policymaking for regional development internationally, in Sweden and in the region of Värmland with the triple helix actors. Some of his specialties are planning and development processes in systemic perspectives.
He has been in charge of elaborating the regional development program, forming a regional cluster strategy and two generations of smart specialisation strategies for Värmland. In 2022, he participated in an OECD delegation to evaluate the regional innovation system in Newfoundland with Memorial University in focus. Anders Olsson was promoted as an honorary doctor by The Faculty of Health, Science and Technology at Karlstad University in the year 2023.
